Thanks Kalam

You have made us proud. You are not just great but a gem. You are only one ‘Ratna’ among the Presidents of India. You are still our President because you will live as the people’s president. On Wednesday, I felt that someone from my family is stepping down as President. Big thanks for Dr. Kalam for thinking big and teaching us to do so.

He is the most progressive President we ever had. He is highly educated and worked in the field of improving India’s education system. He was an inspiration to all. Having no political background made him different from others. He made many bold decisions against the govt. and supported the truth. I respect him for what he has done as president of India.

A person of his stature, so down to earth and thinking par excellence is unbeatable. He was a really People’s President. Dr. APJ Kalam is an excellent dynamic person, who has won billions of Indian heart by his simplicity, knowledge and integrity. If his vision 2020 is implemented, India will be the first country in the world to achieve a major milestone. Hope many such eminent people emerge in India to guide Indian politics. It’s a sad feeling that we have not given him a second opportunity to head the country.

It is true that it is because of our dirty politicians, we have missed Kalam’s service from the Supreme Post of the Country. Friends, you all have rolled out tears for Kalam. Lets not waste our time. We have to achieve APJ’s dream much before 2020. We will do it. Yes undoubtedly.

Gaganchukki and Bharachukki, the twin world famous waterfalls are roaring back with the heavy rain fall in Cauvery basin of Karnataka. And the tourist spot of rainy season is now flooded with the nature lovers. Ltes take a drive to Shivanasamudra, 120 kms away from Bangalore to catch the glorious moments.

The Gaganchukki and Bharachukki Falls are on the Cauvery River after the river has winded its way through the rocks and ravines and drops off to form waterfalls. The river divides in to twin side-by-side falls around the 700-acre picturesque Shivanasamudra Island. On the one side, it forms the Gaganachukki falls and on the other it rumbles down as the Bharachukki falls. The segmented waterfalls has anaverage width of 849 meters, a height of 90 meters. With the Cauvery basin receiving heavy rains, the twin falls have roared back to the glory.

 When both falls are compared, Gaganchukki falls from very high height than Bharachukki. While Bharachukki falls is quite wider than Ganganachukki. Cauvery plummets from the height of 190 ft deafening roar to form picturesque Gaganchukki and it flows like ‘amritadhara‘ ( milk river) forming equally impressive Bharachukki. Splendorous scenery also add great taste to your journey. The waterfalls leave a deep impression on all those who have seen them.

The time of best flow are the monsoon season of July to October. And this time you can also enjoy the romance of clouds with the nature accompanied by the showering rains. Therefore, lakhs of people drive here. The count of tourists was 15 lakh in the last season. It may not be exaggeration to say life is beautiful just because of such nature beauties.

You can also visit Shivanasamudra Hydro-electricity project. It is India’s first ever hydel-power project. Initiated by the then rulers of Mysore Odeyars, Shivanasamudra provides electricity to Bangalore and Mysore cities. It also played a major role in accelarating Bangalore’s growth.

Why do I feel today that you are only mine…. the beautiful line is translated from Kannada song …Anisutide yako indu neenene nannavalendu….from Mungaru Male. Mungaru Male means Monsoon rain. It is still raining even after 132 days in 108 screens acrooss the state. If you want to see a different world famous Jog falls, then you have to watch this movie. It is wonder full.
There has been a perception among cine-lovers that Kannada movies have, of late, become nothing but a heady mix of obscenity and crime. No longer is Sandalwood ruled by films that uphold family values, social values or spiritual values. Even the producers and directors rely on ‘flesh and blood’ for the success of their movies. As said by someone, nothing sells better that flesh and blood in today’s world.

But Mungaru Male’ (Monsoon Showers) has really ushered in a new hope not only among the Kannada cine-lovers but even in the Kannada film industry.Except Anant Nag, all faces are new to the big screen. But the melodious songs and creativity of the director Yogaraj Bhat have created kind of magic. Moreover, most of the scenes have been shot in the monsoon rain in and around picturesque Sakleshpur in Hassan and in Kodagu district.
